The Geo System

   

 
 

Description

Reha Technologies has developed the world’s most advanced device for gait rehabilitation, the G-EO-System. The device is end-effector based and can simulate any movement of the human gait.
The aim is to enable patients to recover some of their locomotor abilities and promote their independence in daily life by means of a diversified therapy, according to the motto ‘variatio delectat’. Therefore, the key objectives of gait rehabilitation are not only the relearning of walking in the plane, but to cope with steps, stairs, obstacles and other irregularities of the substrate/underground/terrain. This is made possible for the first time with the G-EO-System.

Main Features

A short introduction course is sufficient to be able to operate the device. The therapy preparation of the patient takes only a few minutes, whereby the efficiency of the device is increased.
G-EO-Systems can be used for children over 110 cm (without using the optional paediatric module). Patient safety is guaranteed in each phase of treatment, the therapist can intervene at any time. Moreover, maximum work safety is ensured: there is no risk of falling for patient or therapist, in addition long-term damage of the therapist is avoided.
The machine has a patient database for easier handling and storage of patient data, it is also possible to couple G-EO-Systems with a functional electrical stimulation device (FES). Even virtual worlds can be implemented.
It is also possible to personalize therapies by adapting the trajectories to the individual needs of the patient. By using G-EO-Systems better treatment results can be achieved in less time with the same personnel, increasing efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic.

The Geo can be purchased in 3 modes:

Geo Basic

Already the basic version of G-EO-Systems is impressive by its functional design, its mechanical reliability and its easy daily use. The basic version allows you to enter the world of device suported locomotion therapy without the need of a big investment.
The danger of falling of the patient or therapy personnel injury during therapy is completely avoided by using the G-EO-Systems device. The device simulates in this version the plain walking condition, providing many set up pssibilities. All security and feedback features are included starting from the basic variant.

G-EO-Systems basic is ready to be enhanced to the advanced or evolution version.
Geo Advanced
The G-EO-Systems advanced version enlarges the capabilityies of the device by permitting complex gait patterns such as stair climbing and descending. G-EO-Systems advanced allows therefore a more variable thearpy and the training of more difficult movement combinations without having to stop the device. The integrated therapy wizard permits the creation of patient specific combined exercies, which can be stored and adapted.
Through the improved therapy capabilities, G-EO-Systems advanced makes the therapy personnel more efficient, reducing at the same time injury risks. The advanced version uses an improved sensor input for its biofeedback system and a more capable patient database, which together allow a better analysis of the patient’s progress.

G-EO-Systems advanced is ready to be enhanced to the evolution version.
Geo Evolution
The G-EO-Systems evolution is the new reference of gait rehabilitation devices. In addition to all qualities of the advanced version it can also handle:
Therapy plans of complex movement combinations are synchronized with a video projection system. Having a walk in the Alps, through Hyde Parc or on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is possible anywhere.

The device can actively react on the real patient capabilities. If the patient is capable partly of walking, G-EO-Systems reduces the machine support assuring the correct gait parameters, up to completely active motion by the patient.
