Amadeo Hand Rehabilitation

Amadeo
AmadeoThe Robotic hand deviceAmadeo with stand and LCD Monitor
For use in the field of robotic neurorehabilitation.
Product Description

The Amadeo® System is a modern, mechatronic rehabilitation device in the field of robotic neurorehabilitation. It is used in the rehabilitation of patients exhibiting motor dysfunctions of the distal upper extremity.

The Amadeo® system is the only mechatronic finger rehabilitation device available on the market that allows each individual finger, including the thumb, to move independently and separately.

Product Features

The device's patented mechanism mimics the hand's natural grasping movement, making the patient's hand move with it. The range of motion and the force can be exactly adjusted to the patient's needs. Depending on the individual's range of motion the machine can also be used just to support movements. In addition, the device can be used to chart the therapy's progress.

  • CPM machine following finger and hand injuries
  • possibility to move each individual finger independently
  • continuous and ergonomic simulation of the grasping movement
  • high flexibility – easy to use for different patients
  • adjustment of velocity and force possible
  • integrated bio-feedback methods

Application

Amadeo® moves the fingers and thumb according to a given pattern determined by the software. The finger carriages can be adjusted to make either a consecutive or simultaneous movement of flexion and extension. Alternating or random motion sequences are also possible, but attention has to be paid to the individual patient's mobility (interlocking of fingers) This is how it is possible to stop or to limit the movement of individual fingers. The range of motion (determined 1-dimensionally) can be adjusted for each individual finger.

At the time of the therapy the patient is placed in a comfortable position in front of the device. The hand-arm rest is then positioned which supports the weight of the upper arm and the forearm during therapy. After attaching the finger tips to the finger and thumb carriages and setting the endpoints, an automated motion sequence is carried out. Depending on the patient's needs, the patient can either be passively or actively involved in the therapy. The built-in sensors make quantitative logging and thus an analysis of the finger strength possible.
