Timing and the 10 Years Tyromotion Celebration
 
Over the next few days the team from Ectron will be in Graz celebrating 10 years of Tyromotion with the Tyromotion team and their international partners. During the event Ectron will learn about the latest advances in Tyromotion technology.

Maastricht University Two Day Clinical TMS Certification Course. Kings Fund, London.

European Clinical TMS Certification Course, 23rd-24th March 2017.

The popular TMS Course held at Maastricht University is for the first time offered in London this year.  Researchers, clinicians and academics from Maastricht University are running the  two-day clinical TMS certification course with a focus on the clinical applications of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The course covers the basic physical and physiological principles of transcranial magnetic stimulation presenting state of the art insights and explanations of the latest scientific literature.

Ectron is pleased to announce it will be sponsoring  Leicester Partnership NHS Trust's TMS Symposium on Wednesday 29th March 2017. 

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) is hosting a symposium on Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and Ectron have great pleasure in demonstrating MagVita TMS Therapy.

Dr Alex O'Neil-Kerr, Medical Director of Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust will be the keynote speaker.

The symposium  will include a live demonstration of MagVita TMS therapy and a Q & A session with an expert panel.

Ectron were at PhysioFuction's Northampton's Centre of Excellence this week installing TYMO to PhysioFunction's Tyrostation. PhysioFunction specialises in Neurological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Technology and has clinics across the UK. PhysioFunction physiotherapists  combine hands-on treatment, exercise and technology when treating their patients.

TYMO is a wireless sensor based rehabilitation device that can be used for both assessments and therapy. TYMO offers a variety of different exercises for patients including: balance and postural control, or active use of force and support exercises for the upper body. TYMO is not just a static sensor plate but it also comes with fitted rolling elements that makes the TYMO moveable which makes it ideal in assessing and treating balance problems.

The popular TMS Course held at Maastricht University is for the first time offered in London tailored at a UK audience. The course is designed for health care professionals working with TMS, or considering working with TMS, clinicians and researchers who seek training in transcranial magnetic stimulation. The course consists of a mix of academic sessions and hands-on sessions.

Accreditation

The Clinical TMS Certification Course is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS),  www.uems.net

The Clinical TMS Certification Course is provided by academics and specialists from Maastricht University and was granted 11 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the EACCME.

European Accreditation
European Accreditation is granted by the EACCME in order to allow participants who attend the above-mentioned activity to validate their credits in their own country.

American CME

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at  www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme .

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
EACCME credits

The 'Clinical TMS Certification Course' is designated for a maximum of (or 'for up to') 11 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
